Attention: Symposia Submissions
We have become aware that some people are having difficulty adding companion abstracts for symposia. We recommend that the symposia chair submits all abstracts on behalf of all speakers.

1. General instructions for abstract submissions

Submitted abstracts must be original. Abstracts previously published or presented at an international scientific meeting cannot be submitted.

In order to avoid a too fragmented programme while at the same time allow for the largest possible number of delegates to present, this meeting will be largely restricted to submissions for posters and symposia. There will be 2 or 3 sessions with individual oral presentations selected from the poster submissions.

Language: abstracts should be written in English. Accepted posters and symposia can be delivered in English, Spanish or Portuguese, according to the authors’ preference indicated in the submission form.

Maximum length: Each abstract (overview and individual) must have a maximum of 500 words (see detailed guidelines below).

Spelling: Please ensure that the spelling of names, terms and abbreviations is consistent in the main body of the text.

Tables and Figures: Tables and/or figures are not allowed in the abstract submissions

Topic:

  • Developmental Vulnerabilities Related to Social Disadvantage
  • Neurotechnology and Cognitive Rehabilitation: Barriers to Implementation into Practice
  • A Critical Evaluation of Biomarkers for Behavioural Deficits
  • Controversies in Neuropsychological Assessment: A Cross Cultural Lens
  • Cognitive Neuropsychology: Contributions of Multidisciplinary Methods and Big Data

2. Abstract Submission Portal

All abstracts should be submitted via the online portal. Abstracts sent by e-mail or other means will not be considered. Abstracts will undergo blind review by the congress scientific committee.

The submitting author of each abstract must be the presenting author but does not have to be the first author. Please verify if you filled in the submitting author's name and e-mail address correctly – these contacts will serve for further correspondence with the author(s). All correspondence concerning the abstract will be sent to submitting author’s e-mail address.

The abstract submission portal will take you through the process of submitting your abstract. The abstract submission form is very straightforward, but some explanatory notes are also given below the fields to be filled in.

3. Review process

All abstracts will be reviewed for their quality and relevance by the Program Committee (PC), also taking in consideration the amount of submissions received in each session

Abstract submissions are solicited for posters and symposia. There are no individual paper sessions apart from the poster award winners’ sessions. The scientific committee may offer the opportunity to the proposers of symposia, that are not selected for oral presentation, to convert their proposal to a poster symposium. A poster symposium entails a number of related posters and a general introduction/discussion poster that are physically placed together. It would be good if these posters have a recognizable, similar appearance.

Platform presentations (in special ‘award sessions’) will be awarded to the highest ranked posters.
